Imagine the charm of Zetter Townhouse, the iconic setting Islington Town Hall, followed by a pub reception at The Sekforde. Going around the street of urban London for photos, and the cherry on top – a pizza van and sparklers! Oh, and did I mention the whole day was drenched in a bold and beautiful red colour theme? Are you ready for this beauty of a wedding? + more details after image gallery +
Chilled Bridal Prep @ Zetter Townhouse
Sophie and her bridesmaids got ready in The Apartment at the gorgeous Zetter Townhouse (one of my fave central London venues, fact!). The morning was very chilled and full of giggles. Sophie’s dad arrived in style, singing operatic mode towards the room window (start the day as you mean to go on and all)! And who doesn’t love a father daughter first look? All in all, a *chef’s kiss* wedding morning.
Heartfelt Ceremony @ Islington Town Hall
Next stop: the Council Chamber at Islington Town Hall. Sophie and Wills exchanged vows in a ceremony filled with love, surrounded by the historic charm of the venue. The wedding party all looked ruddy fantastic in their garb (personal favourite is the flower girls’ dresses, how cute are they?).
Urban London Couple Photos
I am a little biased when it comes to an urban backdrop (especially London), LOVE! As usual, I split the couple shoot into two short sessions, which means two different locations plus no being away from guests for too long at a time, win win. We took a little walk along the streets by Islington Town Hall and got some gorgeous colourful backdrops for our first shoot. Then we set off again after their wedding meal to shoot around the streets of Clerkenwell. As Sophie + Wills are local to the area, we managed to shoot in front of some of their favourite local haunts which made it even more personal.
A Proper Pub Reception @ The Sekforde
The Georgian facade of the pub was the perfect setting for a relaxed wedding reception, where the emphasis was good company and great pints. Sophie + Wills didn’t want a sit down meal, instead opted for a buffet so everyone can eat and mingle at the same time.
Then off to party in the pub basement where a surprise guest – Rod Stewart impersonator (a family tradition apparently), got everyone on their feet. It was like a rave in there, can’t ask for a better end to a wedding day x
